Another day… another inauguration… and another salubrious, historical building. This time it was to North Wales and Myddelton College.

A beautiful building which serves as a fee-paying school, Myddelton College is situated on the periphery of the picturesque market town of Denbigh. Surrounded by stunning vistas over the Clwydian Range, it was an absolute pleasure to visit a town and school immersed in history.

Myddelton’s thirty-seven acre estate stands at the foot of the remains of the thirteenth century Denbigh Castle and is atmospheric and tranquil in equal measure. A perfect venue for the inauguration of Clwyd’s High Sheriff, Karen Farrell-Thomley.

It was a fantastic event and well worth the drive to the north of the nation.

I wish High Sheriff Farrell-Thornley a successful and enjoyable year in office.
