Tonight I was thoroughly entertained by the old razzle dazzle, provided by our very own, Maesteg Curtain Up Youth Theatre.
Their production of "Chicago: Teen Edition" really was a feast of story-telling, musical excellence and gifted acting.
These extremely talented young people delivered well-polished acting and musical performances, to tell the story of the murderous Roxie and Velma who, were totally reliant on attorney Billy Flynn to look for fame, fortune… oh, and acquittal.
It truly was a great evening and I’d highly recommend people take the time and become engrossed in the mastery of song and dance. The performances were simply class.
Llongyfarchiadau pawb - congratulations - to everyone involved, especially the Curtain Up Production Team.
A heartfelt ‘Thank You,’ to Sarah Hopkins and Ruth Whelan who year in, year out, oversee these productions. The utter joy and opportunities they selflessly bring to the young people, families and audiences is to say the least – heartwarming. They do far more than a little bit of good.
Further performances, and all that jazz, will take place at the Sony Theatre, Bridgend College - tonight Friday 30th August, tomorrow Saturday 31st Matinee and evening. Don't miss it!!
