That’s it!

Last night I attended my final official engagement as High Sheriff of Mid Glamorgan - the Annual Presentation Evening of 1092 (Bridgend) Squadron RAF Air Cadets - ahead of handing over at the Declaration Ceremony this Friday.

What a lovely evening and a well organised occasion celebrating the incredible achievements of the 1092 Bridgend Sqn RAF Air Cadets. Wow The cadets and their leaders have been working hard this year on: First Aid, Sports, Leadership, Flying, Space Technology, Cyber, Radio Comms and multiple accomplishments in the Duke of Edinburgh Awards. All, I am told, to an excellent level.

Once again it was a pleasure to meet all the diligent adult staff and cadets.

Llongyfarchiadau to you all on your incredible efforts and achievements. It was a glorious moment for everyone involved - especially family and friends of all the incredible cadets.

It was a great end to my year in the company of Peter VaughanMid Glamorgan Lieutenancy,Bridgend County Borough Council Mayor and Ian Williams, Independent Councillor for Oldcastle Ward. Thank you Rhys Thomas-Challenger Sqn Ldr Rhys Thomas-Challenger for the invite.

If you are young and want to be part of a superb organisation that will improve your  skills and make an immense positive contribution to your life, join the Air Cadets who are based at Joslin Terrace, Coity and their parade nights take place on Tuesdays and Fridays 19:00hrs to 21:30hrs.

Thank you everyone. The pleasure was all mine.
