The ten-a-side touch rugby tournament proved to be both enjoyable and successful.

I must say a huge thank you to everyone who supported the High Sheriff Touch Rugby Tournament at South Parade, and made it a success.

Maesteg Harlequins RFC for hosting the venue and the many club volunteers who gave time and energy to set up the event. Organiser and Maltese rugby international Ray Watts, the referees, St John Ambulance Cymru, South Wales Police’s Youth Volunteers, the spectators, trophies sponsor Julian Vance-Daniel of VESSCO Engineering, TESCO Maesteg for a refreshments donation and Maesteg Town Council for use of the gazebos.

It was particularly pleasing to see so many people, businesses and organisations come together, for a cause.

Of course the teams who participated so enthusiastically to make it a great day, included Maesteg Harlequins RFC, Maesteg RFC, Nantyffyllon RFC, Trebanos RFC, South Wales Police Tackle After Dark 10 , H.M.P. Parc Prison & Y.O.I. X who also printed the promotional material Congratulations to all the teams and particularly the Cup Winners Nantyffyllon RFC, Bowl Winners Maesteg RFC., Plate Winners Trebanos RFC and Player of the Tournament - Lewis. All in aid of a good cause Dallaglio RugbyWorks

Thank you everyone - even the weather was kind! See more Photos of the day in the Gallery Page.
