It is often acknowledged that to feed someone is the greatest act of love, compassion and faith. Many religions feed the poor or help those in times of trouble with a meal.

Today was productive, as I spent a few hours at Talbot Community Centre, Kenfig Hill, supporting the many volunteers who were hard at work, helping Cllr. Jane Gebbie, Deputy Leader of Bridgend County Borough Councilpreparing Christmas meals.

These meals will be distributed across Bridgend borough to those in need. More than a 1000 meals will be prepared for distribution on Christmas Eve. This is an incredible feat and once again, by an incredible band of committed, caring and compassionate volunteers, who embody the Christmas message.

Thank you, Diolch yn Fawr iawn for including me in your incredible efforts to ensure no-one should miss out on a Christmas dinner.  Looking at the quality produce and the expert hands who will make the dinner, quite frankly... I'm jealous.

Merry Christmas all and many thanks to all the amazing volunteers.
