Today it was off to the offices of Hafod Housing Association in Cardiff. with South Glamorgan’s High Sheriff to present High Sheriff Awards to five of their staff.

A member of the Hendre Group, Hafod nominated staff who go above and beyond by volunteering in their own time for other causes. The recipients were : Austin Hill, who volunteers for Tir Natur, Emma Thomas who volunteers for BulliesOut: Empowering Future Generations, Lorraine Hughes who volunteers as a respite carer for Social Services, Saskia Aubrey who volunteers for Food for All, and Kathleen Williams who volunteers for Welcome Friends.

It was a splendid occasion and a pleasure to meet staff and leaders at Hafod - an organisation that not only focuses on transforming housing for the better, but also health, social care and support for people in their own home in their own communities, whether residential or nursing accommodation.

Llongyfarchiadau to those recognised, and to Hafod for valuing its staff beyond the workplace.  The offices of High Sheriff are delighted to recognise such wonderful people.
